And the answer was quite simple and straight, NO, this place straight away books a special corner in your heart which will always tempt you to visit it again and again. The thin air which keeps gushing around you and the serenity of the nature which pulls you to explore it even more. And the more you will explore the more adventurous it becomes. The Disorder of Ignorance

Let it be any natural disaster or any communal riot, seems like none of the politicians want to talk about the logic behind these mishaps. They just visit the affected area, and on paper their duty is done but what about the ground realities.  Natural disasters are often covered with the blanket of “Muhafza” and communal riots are given the tribute of “consolidation” by visiting the victims’ house. But the reason behind this phenomenon are often overlooked /ignored by the intellectual politicians. Right from the moment they sit on the chair of “Corruption” the symptoms of “disorder of ignorance” can be easily seen. Letting the country being rot by the viruses of crimes and never ending fungus of corrupt government, these intellectuals keep themselves busy in accumulating the money mainly in the form of bribe, which they take as a commission for their hard work done for the citizens of their own country. All the day, round the clock one can come across many new stories whi...

Digits Suppressed by Digitization

P.M. Narendra Modi is encouraging the idea of "Digital India” which is good, but before giving access to that technology, he should not ignore the medium via which people will be able to harness it in a better way, which is EDUCATION. If people are educated they will bring technology at their feet. They won’t be handicapped by the ill – effects of “being - uneducated”. If people are smart, they can make cities smart by themselves. . This is a simple logic which is unable to penetrate into the brain of the P.M. since he has already been engaged in the glamour of Silicon Valley Campaign, in clearing the hindrances like CEO Mark Zuckerberg so that he can get the proper, uninterrupted coverage by the camera (News Channels/T.V.). His idea of promoting Digital India Campaign is to create participative, transparent and responsive government. But again the question remains the same how this participation will enhance?? Is it just by giving a smart phone along with wi-fi to a farmer (...

Voice of a street child

Image
Voice of a street child Every day, my life throws a new challenge to me, a challenge of survival, a challenge to fill my stomach again, a challenge to fulfill my job no matter how harsh circumstances are. My life is not like the life of other children, whose infancy starts with love and care, my life is a little bit different. It is the life which any parent will never want for his child and any child will never dream of, even in his worst nightmare.  At the age of 5 when other children go to school of learning I am taken to the school of “beggary”, an unusual world which showed me no matter which school you go, life is all about survival. At the age of 10, when many children like me, play with video games, I struggle to make my earning for the day. I never dream of having mobile phones as my birthday present, Instead, I just wanted to have a piece of cloth to protect myself from this shivering cold. However, in this war of survival I often tasted the bitterness of fail...

End of Racism ?? Not Now ......

Am I a part of this so called “unified” country India?Do my countrymen whom I  refer as “brothers and sisters” even recognize me ? This is what every single person who have different features in terms of their appearance must be thinking, whenever they suffer any discrimination. Today, people of North-east are facing discrimination which made them vulnerable to many crimes like assault, murders, rape etc. They are often insulted by slurs like Chinki, Nepalese, Chinese etc. In the recent study conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia's Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research with National Commission for Women (NCW) found that 60% of women from North East India, who have moved to major cities in India, are reported to face harassment and discrimination. Delhi is a place where one can easily see the amalgamation of culture and is considered as one of the place which has the largest number of educated civilized citizens. Still, city wise- New Delhi is reported to be most intoler...

Juvenile Justice Act needs amendment

Mohit , a 17 year old teenager , murdered three members of his family but rather than punishing him under criminal laws, he was sent to prison in rehabilitation centre . However, on the other hand , if the same crime was committed by a person of 18 + he must have registered under some section of IPC . As a result of which he will be awarded with capital punishment .   Any juvenile can commit heinous crimes like rape , murder can get away with it , this is what , such kinds of verdicts reflects . Even the verdict of Delhi gang rape conveyed the same message especially to all those potential juvenile rapists . The legislative body of India should understand the fact now that today, the mental maturity of a 16+ child is far more than it was decade ago . Hence, there is a need to lower the age of juvenile from 18 to 16 . At the age of 16 , one can easily judge between right and wrong . Infact, there are many countries like Scotland, which treat a 16 year old person as an adu...
