Juvenile Justice Act needs amendment

Mohit , a 17 year old teenager , murdered three members of his family but rather than punishing him under criminal laws, he was sent to prison in rehabilitation centre . However, on the other hand , if the same crime was committed by a person of 18 + he must have registered under some section of IPC . As a result of which he will be awarded with capital punishment .   Any juvenile can commit heinous crimes like rape , murder can get away with it , this is what , such kinds of verdicts reflects . Even the verdict of Delhi gang rape conveyed the same message especially to all those potential juvenile rapists . The legislative body of India should understand the fact now that today, the mental maturity of a 16+ child is far more than it was decade ago . Hence, there is a need to lower the age of juvenile from 18 to 16 . At the age of 16 , one can easily judge between right and wrong . Infact, there are many countries like Scotland, which treat a 16 year old person as an adu...

Social networking is potentially dangerous for youngsters

These days it can be easily observed that young people spend  a major fraction of their time on social networking sites. On one hand it has connected the world in a most elegant manner but on the other it has loopholes too. NO TITLE

Today when I was listening news regarding the election 2014 , It made me realise that in terms of good representative we are out of options now . Everyone is aware of the fact , that 2014 election is all about the so called “secular NAMO” and 42 years old yet “young”    Rahul Gandhi but    for a democratic country even both of them don’t fulfill the criteria of a good representative very well . Today the Indian political system has ruined to such an    extent that we are lacking of good representative    . Why there is    choice between only Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi ??? Why we are still in a search of that “ideal representative” who will actually fulfill all the criteria required for a good representative … reasons are many but solution is only one i.e. the participation of a youth . There is hardly a fraction of students/ youth who actually wants to be a part of healthy politics and this is one of    the loophole ...

Gvernment needs to answer

The incident which took place in Ratangarh , Madhya Pradesh has showed one more time the careless attitude of government toward the citizens of India. Even being aware of the fact that lakhs of devotes will be there in the temple for prayers only 250 (approx) police officers were appointed for the safety purpose . On one side the police team is stepping back from taking responsibility while on other the government is as usual trying to get rid of the situation by their    “MUHAFAZA FUNDA” . Once again government announced compensation for all the people who either died or injured, but this cant act like a shield for them . The government needs to come forward and answer all those people who lost their family members, rather then just announcing some sort of  compensation . They should find out the real reason rather then just running into the wild goose .
