Social networking is potentially dangerous for youngsters
One click and all the restriction ends here , it is the moment when you
have entered in the world of websites . Now there is no limitation no
boundation between you and your favourite website . These days it can be easily observed
that young people spend a major fraction
of their time on social networking sites. On one hand it has connected the
world in a most elegant manner but on the other it has loopholes too. It has
revolutionized the use of internet and marked its users upto 940 million across
the world . According to a new eMarket report , “Worldwide Social Network
Users” estimated that till 2013 one in four people worldwide will use social
networking . The number of social network Users around the world will rise from
1.47 billion in 2012 to 1.73 billion this year, an 18% increase . By 2017, the global social network audience
will reach upto the total of 2.55 billion .
However, this glory of social networking websites include a dark shade
also . A dark shade which itself is filled with many ugly colours . It has not
only increased the cyber crimes but also lead to many diseases. Anubhav , an
eighteen year old college going boy , checks his status every hour , even
during late nights he keeps on chatting not only with his friends but with strangers too. Due to his this act he is not only vulnerable
to cyber crimes but also is at a risk of sleeping disorder , which is one of
the major problems easily observed in youngsters
Apart from this it has also led to depression, poor inter-personal
relationship, lack of concentration , ignorance and rudeness in their general
behavior as they loose confidence during real life interaction . Due to misuse
of their websites by some hackers
youngsters often commit suicide . It is not only increasing crime against
youngsters but also giving birth to many
new and unheard cyber offences like trolling, online bullying , identity theft
which directly harass them and also effect their quality of life .
Social networking sites were never meant to be misused in such ways .
However, humans have evolved many different ways to malign it . As a result ,
rather than being a blessing it has changed into a threat and hence is
potentially dangerous for youngsters .
